Athens Culinary & Wine Experience – 5 Days / 4 Nights

Upon arrival at Athens International Airport (ATH), you will be met and transferred privately to your hotel. After check-in, you will have time to relax and settle in before your evening adventure.

• Evening Activity: In the evening, join a group Athens Nightlife Tour. The tour starts with a short panoramic drive through the illuminated city center, including a magnificent photo stop at the Acropolis lit up against the night sky.
• Dinner Show: Continue with a stroll through the charming streets of Plaka, the old town of Athens, before heading to a traditional Greek taverna. Here, you will enjoy an authentic Greek dinner accompanied by a live music show featuring folk dances in traditional costumes. (Note: Tour operates Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday; drinks are not included in the dinner price.)
• Overnight: Athens.

After breakfast at the hotel, begin your day with a small-group Athens Food Tour.

• Gastronomic Journey: This guided tour is a deep dive into the culinary heart of the city, taking you through lively districts and local markets. You will sample quintessential Greek specialties such as Kalamata olives, local cheeses, cold-pressed olive oil, tapenades, and famous street foods like koulouri (sesame bread ring) and souvlaki.
• Cultural Learning: Learn about the foundational principles of the Mediterranean diet and the traditions and history behind each dish.
• Conclusion: The culinary experience culminates with a satisfying, full Greek meal paired with local wine or raki at a family-run taverna.
• Overnight: Athens. (Breakfast, Meals included during Food Tour)

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. The day is free until the afternoon when you will participate in a hands-on culinary experience.

• Afternoon Activity: Join a hands-on Greek Cooking Class. Under the guidance of a professional chef, you will learn to prepare several classic Greek dishes using only fresh, seasonal ingredients.
• Taste and Sip: As you cook, you will have the chance to sip on local wine and taste your creations.
• Dinner: The class concludes as you sit down with your group to enjoy the full, delicious meal you have prepared together, accompanied by soft Greek melodies.
• Overnight: Athens. (Breakfast, Dinner included in Cooking Class)

After breakfast, depart for a full-day private excursion along the beautiful Athens Riviera, combining stunning coastal scenery with further culinary discovery. (The excursion vehicle includes an English-speaking professional driver only).

• Honey & Produce Tasting: Begin at an urban farm where you’ll enjoy snacks and refreshments among herb gardens and beehives. Learn about the varieties and cultural importance of Greek honey while sampling high-quality local produce.
• Winery Visit: Visit a family-run winery for a guided tour through the vineyards and the wine-making process. Conclude with a tasting of exceptional wines made from indigenous Greek grape varieties.
• Culinary Note: A homemade meze-style lunch paired with local wines is a suggested experience at the winery. (Note: All tastings and meals on Day 4 are optional and need to be arranged and paid for separately based on client preferences.)
• Cape Sounion: Continue your journey to the tip of the peninsula, Cape Sounion, to visit the majestic Temple of Poseidon. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea, especially during sunset.

After breakfast, you will check out from the hotel. You will be met and transferred privately to Athens International Airport for your departure flight.
